LOVERLY TO MEET YOU

About Elizabeth Akers

Elizabeth Akers (she/her) recently received a B.A. in Musical Theatre from North Central College. Originally from Indianapolis, IN, she began training in the performing arts at a young age, beginning with dance training from the young age of 3 and adding other elements to the mix over time. She has extensive vocal training with various teachers, theatrical and on-camera acting training, and has studied dance at numerous studios and with various instructors.

One of the most memorable experiences thus far in her career is working with Jess McLeod, previous resident director of Hamilton in Chicago, in a staged workshop of a new musical Mill Girls, playing Alice Woodall, alongside local actors Jacquelyne Jones, Karen Rodriguez, and Ariana Burks. She can be heard in the recently released cast recording, available on both Apple Music and Spotify!

Additionally, she played Norma Millay in the premiere of the first licensed production of the musical Renascence since its run in New York in 2018. In this memorable process, she worked with director Mitzi Smith and music director David Fiorello.

She now resides in Chicago, IL pursuing her passions, repped by Debby Kotzen and Isabella Weiss at NV Talent. She is also the proud Outreach Volunteer for The Beautiful City Project. In her spare time, you can find her watching New Girl for the 100th time, putting on a one-woman show of The Phantom of the Opera, or talking to her best friend (her younger sister) on the phone for hours!
